Colleen loves to read and wants to instill this love of reading in her students. She holds a permanent certification for teaching English grades 7 through 12 and is an Olweus Bullying Prevention Program trainer.

As a Job Corps graduate, Javeus saw the value of the program and decided to return as an instructor, using his skills from the program and the college he attended after completion to guide students. “In my 17 years as a Career Technical instructor at the Mississippi Job Corps Center, the most rewarding part of my career has been assisting students with completing the program and finding employment that allows them to be self-sufficient.”

After graduating from the center in 1990, he returned in 1992 to use his skills to give back. “Job Corps gave me the foundation and technical expertise to build a career.
