Health Occupations

As the population ages, nursing assistants and home health aids will be in much greater demand. The Humphrey Job Corps Center is working to meet employers' needs by offering a Health Occupations program approved by the Minnesota Department of Health. The curriculum consists of 135 hours of classroom instruction and clinical training that prepares students for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. Students who demonstrate the interest and ability to care for the elderly will find many employment opportunities in the following health occupations:

  • Patient Transporter
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Acute Care Nurse Assistant
  • Home Health Aid
