Zero Tolerance Policy

Every student has the right to participate in the Job Corps Program without being subjected to violence or drug abuse. To promote a positive learning and living environment for all students, Job Corps has instituted the Zero Tolerance Policy. This ensures safety and security on all Job Corps Centers. All acts of violence or threats of violence, harassment or intimidation, and/or involvement with the use, possession, or sale of drugs will be immediately confronted and subject to: "One strike and you're out!" Before entering the program, students must sign a contract committing to abide by the policy and stating they are entering the program drug free. All students will be placed on a 30-day probationary period at the start of their stay in Job Corps.

Rules, Regulations, and Responsibilities
Along with Zero Tolerance, Job Corps has rules and regulations. They have been put in place to assist students in getting the education and training they will need to get and keep a job. The rules are not hard to follow. Students are given a daily routine that includes a wake-up time, meal times and class schedules. Each student is given a Student Handbook upon entering the program that explains all of the rules and regulations in detail. Should a student have problems or concerns regarding any of the policies, they may speak to their counselor.
