Pay and Bonuses
Students receive pay while enrolled at the Humphrey Job Corps Center and are eligible to receive a Transitional Living Payment upon termination:
Base Pay (before taxes) per 2-week pay period:
- 1 - 56 Days: $25.00
- 57 - 112 Days: $30.00
- 113 - 182 Days: $40.00
- After 182+ Days: $50.00
Transitional Living Payment (must be enrolled at least 60 days):
- Graduate with GED or H.S. Diploma earned at Job Corps = $250.00
- Graduate with Vocational Completion but no GED/HSD = $750.00
- Graduate with both GED/HSD and Vocational Completion = $1,200.00
(Please note that students may enter Job Corps with GED or H.S. Diploma and still be eligible for total transitional payment). Students with child/children may choose to have an allotment for their care. Ask your admissions counselor for about the allotment program.
Clothing Allowance
As part of Job Corps mission to prepare students for future employment, each vocation has a dress code in place. While at HHHJCC, students will periodically receive an allowance to buy clothing that is consistent with their chosen occupation.
