Admissions

Through the Outreach & Admissions (OA) component of the Humphrey Job Corps Center's Career Development Services System (CDSS), prospective students learn about what Job Corps has to offer. Admission counselors will answer all questions and provide the necessary guidance for future graduates start their career at Job Corps.

To be eligible for the Job Corps program a young person must be a legal U.S. resident who is at least 16 but not yet 25.

He or she must be receiving government assistance, or otherwise be considered low income. as determined by the Federal poverty guidelines. A person may also qualify under income guidelines, if a foster child.

That individual must be also able to benefit from the program and to complete the training provided at the Job Corps Center.

Finally, in order to provide the best opportunity for all students to succeed, each person wishing to attend the Humphrey Job Corps Center must support our Zero Tolerance Policy for violence and drugs, demonstrate behavior that reflects the center's standards and core values, must be free of court imposed community service, fines or restitution and be free of extensive legal/criminal issues.
